Personal information
I was born in Freital in 1967, am married with three adult children and live in Chemnitz. I studied administration at the Hochschule Meissen (FH) Academy of Public Administration and law and political science at the Fernuniversität Hagen Open University.
Almost my entire professional life to date has involved roles relating to the needs of persons with disabilities, effectively turning my career into a vocation. These specific career phases were:
- 1996 to 1998 Head of »Assessment Procedures for Severe Disability Entitlement« at the Chemnitz Department of Family and Social Affairs
- 1998 to 2002 Head of »War Victim Welfare« at the Chemnitz Department of Family and Social Affairs
- 2002 to 2008 Head of the branch office of the Integration Department and of the main welfare centre at the Chemnitz Department of Family and Social Affairs
- 2008 to 2010 Worked in the »Persons with Disabilities, Severe Disability Entitlement« Department at the Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs and Consumer Protection
- 2010 to 2021 Personal advisor and office manager for the Saxon State Government Commissioner for the Needs of Persons with Disabilities
- Since 2000 Lecturer in Severe Disability Law at the Hochschule Meissen (FH) Academy of Public Administration.
I now look forward to contributing my experience and knowledge as the State Commissioner for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.
